This month I’m continuing the exploration that 1982 was the best year for hardcore and punk worldwide – but this time focusing on the US only. The fact that out of the top 64 punk and hardcore songs, that bands like 7 Seconds, White Cross and Kraut didn’t make the cut should say how good the whole shebang is. One quick correction: in the section about Jeff Dahl and Powertrip – I messed up the timeline – Jeff left Vox Pop and joined Angry Samoans, before Powertrip was started, so he didn’t join Angry Samoans and then Mystic re-released the record to capitalize on the success. Here’s the playlist:

7 Seconds – Anti Klan (Skins,  Brains and Guts 7″)
