Hey, so the thing that I hate about a lot of recent hardcore bands is that they almost to a single band, drench their vocals in reverb, making them a unintelligible …

I wanted to start a thing that would’ve given me a chance to give back to a scene that I care for deeply. I wanted to expose stuff to people, and maybe get this to a spot where I might be able to do the odd interesting thing. Unfortunately, times do not allow for this. I’ve been slowly burning out in my day job which pays the bills, and over the last few years this has been harder and harder to carve out time to even listen to records, never mind write about them in an in-depth way. The podcast for September has been written for about a month, but I just couldn’t find a time to record it. During that month I thought about it and came to the realization, maybe I don’t need to do this. There’s not a lot of punk related podcasts, but there’s always a ton of writing about punk.

So what will happen to this stuff? The domain is in place for another half year or so, in June this will go away. I’ve got a couple more older podcasts queued up to go on YouTube. Those will stop in mid-October. The podcast hosting I’ll stop paying for as of the next billing cycle, March 2021. Somewhere in the summer of 2021. Instagram stopped and I guess there’s no point in deleting it, but I’ll make it clear that I’m not really there, as I’m not with my own account.

I can’t say this enough, but thank you. I’ve had a lot of fun doing this – and I’m not the sort of person who does “fun”, I’m much more work oriented. So the research, the deep digging, the talking was all fun – hard work but fun. I hope you enjoyed it a fraction as much as I did making it.
